Deepthimaan froze and Arnav said "Rani saa yeh aapke dosth bahut khatrnaak hain!" ( your Majesty this friend of yours is quite dangerous).
Khushi looked at him and at Deepthimaan and said "Aapka phone hain! Lavanya ji ka!"( Call from you from Lavanya).

Deepthimaan narrowed his eyes while Khushi made to leave to allow Arnav privacy to talk, but Arnav caught her wrist and did not allow her to leave as he said " Hello"
Deepthimaan's doctor choose the very moment to dress his wound so he excused himself and Arnav breathed fire at La!
"I told you to get lost! No I can't believe you! And why should I? Why should you help me and especially Khushi? Doesn't make sense! So just stay away!"
"Meri biwi kisi sey bath nahi karegi!( My wife won't talk to anyone!) Just forget the whole thing "he said as Khushi looked on her hand still in his clasp!
"Tum karogi? For what? Whats in it for you La?" he asked!
Oh! You? Do gooder? No way!!!! We know its not true! So just..."
Khushi wanted to leave the place! She did not want to hear their conversation! She always believed that, one-sided stuff gave you only heart ache! Its better you knew everything or you knew nothing at all!

She simply wriggled her hand out of Arnav's grasp and walked out where Deepthimaan was being dressed! It was bad!!!! She saw that he had taken quite a blow! Her eyes stung! What could she do ever to repay him for his affection and support! Deepthimaan saw her and shooed her away but she was adamant asking the doctor about the medication and recovery! But when Deepthimaan saw her eyes filled with tears he was mad!
"Aap kyun aayi yahaan?( Why did you come here?) You should have stayed back with Arnav! He wants you there! Deepthimaan said sternly.
Khushi sighed! Both men were similar in one aspect- keeping her away from them for reasons of their own!
As the doctor left she inspected his dressing and after getting satisfied, sat besides him on the sofa and asked him," Aap holi humaarey sath manaayengey na?"( You will celebrate holi with us! Won't you?)
Deepthimaan was taken aback by her question! He wanted to avoid, as it would only bring back bitter memories! But Khushi unknowingly had hit on his weakness! He could never deny her and he hated to keep things from her!
"Ko...Kosish karunga Rani saa!" ( I shall try... Your Majesty) He sputtered.
"Nahi Aap aarahey hain ! Bus!!!" ( No you ARE coming and that's it!) Khushi said," aur aapney humey vachan diya tho aap zaroor aayengey... and then added "...na?"
( And you gave me your word you will be there! Isn't it?)
Before he answered Arnav stormed into the sit out and said "Excuse me!Need to talk to my wife!" to Deepthimaan and dragged Khushi into the study again and shut the door!
THE PURSUIT
"Hai reh Nand Kishore! Vaishu... thu aagayi aur Sanju bitiya tum apni saheli dunnon Khushi ke kamreh mein raho! Woh kya hain ab damadji aur Khushi Laad Governor ki kothi mein hain!" Buaji said excitedly!
( Vaishu you have come! Sanju, child you and your friend can share Khushi's room as thesedays she is staying in teh LaadGovernor's Kothi with her husband)
Garima served tea with snacks and asked "Deepu bitua nai aaya Vaishu jiji?"
( Deepu has not come?)
Vaishnavi smiled and said "Apna Deepu badaa hogayaa hain Garima! Ab usey Ma aur Maasi kahaan yaad hain?"
( Our Deepu has grown up! He does not remember you and me anymore)
Buaji who was listening took instant objection! " Deepu betaa lakkhon mein ek hain! Is jamaaney ka haiye hi naheen babua!!! Haan! Bahut susheel ladka hai!" She said smiling fondly!
( Deepu is one in a million! He is not of this era! A very good chap indeed!)
"Buaji aap tho aisey kah rahein hain jaisey woh koi ladki hain aur uskey rishthey ki baath chal rahi ho!" Sanju teased.
( Buaji you are talking as if he is a girl and you are about to get him married)
"Aur nahi tho kaa NandKishore!Tohri amma tho karney se rahi! Eiy Vaishnavi... kab nyotha dogi humey betey ki shaadi ki?"Buaji asked!
( Then what? Your mom doesn't seem to be getting it done!Vaishnavi when are you inviting us for your son's wedding?)
"Bahut jaldi Madhu! Bus apney NandKishore ji sey zaraa sifaarish karna ki ladki miljaaye acchi aur guni!" Vaishnavi threw the ball in Buaji's court and everyone laughed!
( Very soon! Just pray to your NandKishore to get us a very pretty and affable girl)

"Kya hua Arnavji?"( What happened?) Khushi asked him!
He just dragged her off from Maan! What would Maan be thinking!
"Tum bolo kya hua? Myne manaa kiya tha na? Tum merey sath nahi baith sakthi?" Arnav took out his frustration on her!
( you tell me what happened! I forbade you from going! Couldn't you sit with me?)
"Aap lavanya ji sey bath kar rahein tho my wahaan kaisey...?" Khsuhi's voice trailed...
( You were talking to La so how I can I sit and ...)
"Tho?" ( So?) You are my wife Khushi!
"Ji so tho hain per iska matlab yeh nahi ki hum har cheez mein taqaa jhanki karey!" Khushi said irritatedly! What did he take her for some woman who would like to eves drop on conversations?
( Yeah! But that doesn't mean I meddle with everything)
Arnav opened his mouth and stared at her! Women as far as he knew were very touchy about these kind of things! Especially when it involves an ex! She must either trust him a lot or have no trust at all for being so stoic about it.
"...Aur khaas kar tab jab aapki puraani premika bath kar rahi ho jinkey baarey mein humsey baath karna aapney zaroori nahi samjha! Hum pehley bhi bol chukey hain Arnavji!"Khushi said!
( And more so when you are chatting up your ex about whom you did not think pertinent to share with me!I told you before[ I do not meddle])
"My ussey pyar ki bathein nahi kar raha tha Khushi! Usey mera number bhi nahi patha!My tho..." Arnav tried to explain.
( I was not cozying up to her Khushi! Infact she does not know my number even! I was just...)
"Aap humey kyun safayi de rahe hain? Humney tho kabhi aapsey nahi poocha!" Khushi's words again stumped Arnav! Damnit! how can she be so cool about it!
( why are you giving me an explanation! i never asked for it!)
"Tumhe... koyi faraq nahi padtha?"( Won't it make any difference to you?) Arnav asked incredulously!
"Padtha hain per is cheez sey nahi ki aap unsey bath kar raein hain per iss cheez sey ki abhi bhi aap humey apna nahi maanthey poori tarah sey! Per hum samajhthey hain ki halaath hi kuch aisey hain!" Khushi said softly! Arnav did not know what to say!
( Ofcourse it does! But not coz you spoke to her! But coz of the fact that you don't trust me enough to share still!But I understand, the situation is such!"
He simply asked," Usney tumsey kya kaha?"( what did she say to you?)
Khushi immediately became stiff! She looked at Arnav and darted her eyes for a second and said," Bus doh min bath ki thi ... kyun ki unhoney samjha aapney phone uthaaya! Aman ji ka number tha tho humney uthaaya nahi tho... hum nahi uthaathey they! She said looking at him!
(Just spoke for two minutes! She thought you took the call! I saw Aman's number being prompted and received the call! Else I would not have!)
Arnav closed his eyes! Serves him right! He should have spoken to Khushi once atleast! LA was a trouble when she was jealous and now he would never know what she told his wife who was a bigger disaster when she was stubborn!
"Myney poocha usney kya kahaa?"( I am asking you... what did she say)Arnav asked!
Khushi just looked at him and smarted! Her face was flushed! Arnav realised whatever it was that La said, she hurt Khushi!
He took her in his arms and crushing her to him asked," Khushi bolo Lavanya ney kya kaha!( What did she say) I swear I..."
"Nai Arnavji yaheen hum nahi chaahthey!( thats what I don't want) I don't want you to hurt anyone coz of me!" Khushi wailed.
"I shall decide that! Now what did she say? Arnav was out of his wits.
"Aap samajhkey unhoney... "( She thought it was you...)Khushi just looked at him helplessly!
Arnav was at his wits end! He just lifted Khushi and placed her on the desk and taking her face in his hands asked," Bolo! I swear! agar tum nahi kahogi tho I will never talk to you again! Kuch chupaana nahi mujhsey! "
( tell me... If you won't tell me I will never talk to you! Don't keep anything from me)

"Khushi bolo" ( Tell me Khushi)he yelled!
"Woh! Unhoney kahaa ki hum... aapkey sath khel khel rahein hain ...Maan key sath bhi!" tears rolled down her eyes! "aur..."she sobbed" ...unkey paas uska saboot hain!Aur..."
( That I am playing you against Maan! And that she has proof! and...)
"Khushi tum idhar dekho... bathau..". Arnav asked...( Look here, speak to me)
" Aur ye key aap ko hum... jaan... jaansey maardaalna chaahthey hain aur....chi!!!!( That I want you dead) She just covered her face with her hands unable to repeat what Lavanya blurted out!
Arnav was so angry that he shuddered in rage! "That @#$%^!!!"
Khushi "... aur kya kahaa lavanya ney he shook her... bolo...!" ( what else! Common)
"Aur kuch hain jo...jiska saboot hain! Aur..." ( There is something for which she has a proof) Khushi said "humney kahaa ki aap neechey hain tho unhoney kahaa ki.." ( I told her you are down stairs, then she said).Khushi went still!
"Kya kaha?"( What?) Arnav asked edgily!
"Kaha ki ... hum aapdononkey beech mein aagayi hain! Aur ki ... aap ney unsey shaadi karney ka waada kiya tha!"( I am the culprit else you had promised marriage to her) Khushi said...
"What? Myney? My shaadi mein vishwaas nahi kartha!"( I don't believe in the institution of marriage) Arnav's words resounded in the study when the door opened after a knock and Deepthimaan stepped in looking worried...
Arnav closed his eyes! What had he said! Oh God! The Queen of Ranpur will spoon his brain out now! Whats all the mess he was into! Oh GOD!!!!
"I am sorry but you dragged her in... and i was ...."Deepthimaan stopped looking at Khushi and looked at Arnav and spat," Lavanya!"
Arnav was about to say something but Deepthimaan was not ready to hear!
"Thu abhi bhi us ke contact mein hain?I swear thu isey kuch..." Deepthimaan caught Arnav's collar!
( Are you still in contact with her! If you do something to Khushi I swear I...)
"Aao Maardalo! waisey tumhari Rani Saa roz ek tareekhey sey maut dethi hain mujhey!Its much better than this!" Arnav said exasperatedly!
( Come Finsih me! As such your queen finds new ways to kill me every day! )
Having said that he regretted as Khushi's face crumpled! He immediately caught Khushi's hand and said," Khushi please! I am mad! Don't mind me today! Really! You did not tell me till I asked you!
"Rani saa ko chugli karney ki aadath nahi hain" Deepthimaan spat!
( her Majesty never indulges in small talk)
"Whoa! Nahi Teddy! Sun!!! I think LA has some clue about whats happening!
"Accha! How very convenient!" Deepthimaan sneered.
"What The #$$%! Why don't you listen? She says she will tell me everything!"
"I don't believe that $%#^&!" Deepthimaan said fuming.
"She mentioned RAJ SINGHVI!" Arnav said.
"Name the price she quoted!"Deepthimaan was all business!
Arnav just looked at Khushi in reply!
Deepthimaan's hand went to his shoulder holster! "That #$%^&! That BloodyB#$%^&!!!!"
"I need to meet her first!" Arnav said and looked at Khushi for anykind of reaction! She did not give any!
"Nope! You are not! I am..."
"Nahi! Maan aap nahi!" ( nope not you) Khushi said loudly!
"Kyun?" Deepthimaan was taken aback!
"Kyunki... "Khushi paused as it appeared to him as if Khushi was upset with him... Khushi spoke... "unka sirf Arnavji sey vastha hain! Unhoney aapko humko kya kahaa patha hai...?" ( Do you know what she said about both of us?) and realising she blurted out more than she intended Khushi looked at Arnav petrified!

What a great mess they are in!!! really felt bad for all these three important characters...they all are strong and stubborn, but the circumstances can crample us at times...now eagerly waiting for u to unfold the mystery behind La and Raj shangvi...how all over come that victoriously....I don't find any sort of celebration for Holi...hope all will settle before that.....looking forward...

plus arnav is no fool not to hv noticed all this, or not to hv understood the implication or her intend in all this..
bt whn he held her hand to stop her.. i see it as his need to hv his wife besides him in difficult time.. which she didnt do.. fr her own reasons..

she i think shud hv seen his need too... ok he is THE ASR, he is tough, etc etc... bt in the end.. he is just human.. who has been luking after everyone... n who definitely deserves n needs someone to stand by him too..
plus the way she tells maan tht arnav shud b the one talking to lavanya... seems more accusatory, than stating facts while mking sure u support ur husband... i might b seeing too much here.. coz tht was the end of the chapter, n might turn out different in the next.. so fr tht i wudnt add anythg till i read further..

The thing is at this point we really cant blame anyone as such ..all are messed up in tangles whether Arnav , khushi or Maan.. aur upar se Arnav said he does not belive in marriage ..khud hi apne per par khuladi maar di !!

Thanks for reviews guys! I agree with Disha! Dishu you are right! But Thanu We all are biased towards Arnav! But he too is flawed like Khushi or Maan. Asfor as ASR is concerned but lemme clarify as a writer...
first Arnav held Khsuhi's hand its a positive sign no doubt but not coz he needed her with him( thats what Maan too said) but coz he realised( again good going for our ASR) his mistake that he kept on pushing her into a relationship that he kept denying!( As Disha understood) Had he realised that he would have explained the first time she called...contd...
Next Khushi in this story is classy! Remember? She does not want a third party to involve in her husband's affairs! For her Maan is family but For Arnav especially in such matters he is an outsider! Moreover you should realise that as a lady she heard Lavanya say something about both of them then
1. You will not want the third party get affected by your folly( Here Maan is third party as she and her husband are one unit)
2.You cannot undermine your betterhalf in such matters that would give wrong signals to teh world and to the person too! Certain things are best done by certain people!

as of khushi being classy is concerned.. tht is an undeniable fact... bt tht doesnt tk away the tact tht is needed... infact i find it very unlike khushi here itself.. though again.. u being the writer hv a better view of ur characters... so i wudnt contest tht.

Awesome updates. Just finished reading 42 & 43. Khushi is so adamant. Pity Mann. Arnav is stuck between these two. Boy lavanya is trouble. I feel that they r printing some scandalous photos between lavanya Nd Arnav and also Khushi - Mann from the mala 3 yrs back. To prove Khushi characterless and also break Arnav and khushi's relation.
